Dr. Joshua Bruce, founder of Kentucky Veterinary Surgery, graduated from Auburn's College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed a series of post-graduate internships and residencies, including at Georgia Veterinary Specialists and BluePearl in Kansas City and Detroit, where he became board certified in 2017. His training has equipped him to offer high-level specialty surgeries.
After working as a surgeon at BluePearl in Louisville, Dr. Bruce developed a deep connection with the city. Motivated by his desire to start his own practice and raise his family, including three children, in a community they loved, he founded Kentucky Veterinary Surgery. This unique practice operates as a mobile service, where board-certified surgeons perform advanced surgeries in local veterinary offices across the Kentuckiana area.
Kentucky Veterinary Surgery provides a significant advantage by bringing specialized care directly to clients in a familiar environment. This approach not only reduces stress for both pets and their owners but also makes high-quality surgical care more accessible and affordable. Dr. Bruce is committed to providing compassionate care that prioritizes the comfort and well-being of pets and their families.

In 2010, Dr. Campbell co-founded the Metropolitan Veterinary Emergency Service in collaboration with specialists from Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists, enhancing emergency care options for pets in our community. At home, Dr. Campbell enjoys a full house with his wife Lee, their two children, three dogs, three cats, and Quinn, an off-the-track Thoroughbred. His family's love of animals deeply enriches his personal and professional life, bringing firsthand experience to his compassionate care for your pets.
